The computer has ports that are used to connecting any device with the help of the motherboard.
For connecting any device motherboard have a port, each port has the meaning for proper communication with other electronic devices.
Port is used for connecting input and output devices with the computer.
Below are the description and use of port
Serial Port :
Serial Port That is used to transmit data in the bit that has so slow speed that was replaced with another port like the USB and another faster port. Serial Port has the 9 PINS. Now, this port is also in use with different places like scientific instruments, cash registers, industrial machinery systems. It looks like below image
USB Port:
Universal Serial Bus has the four-pin and it is used for connecting the storage device like Pendrive, hard drive, external DVD writer, Digital Camera, and mobile also. In this port, we can also plug the wi-fi device, Bluetooth device, modem, printers, keyboard as well as the mouse. The USB port that is commonly used for many purposes 
Parallel Port :
The parallel port is commonly is used for printer and scanner. That has 36 pins.

PS/2 Port:
PS/2 Port has six pins that were used in an old computer for connecting the keyboard and mouse.
It is available in two color firest green and the second one is purple.
Where the purple color port is used for keyboard and the green color is used for connecting mouse with this port
VGA Port:
VGA Port has 15 pin that is available on the motherboard. It is used to connect with the monitor for the graphical presentation of views.
Power Port:
The power port is used to provide the power to the computer
Ethernet Port /RJ 45 Port:
This port is used to connect the computer network . In this port, we often use LAN cable.
Audio Port:
This port is basically used for input and output of the audio. The audio port is available with 3.5 MM jack . With the help of this port, we can use it one for mic and other for sound.
HDMI Port:
HDMI Port that is used to transfer the visualization with the audio. It has 19 pins the port. In the technical term, we can say HDMI plays a major for providing the best quality of audio and presentations. This port is available in the motherboard that is used to connect monitor, LCD, and projector with the help of HDMI cable.
